In order to reduce the labour intensity of hand placing garden paving
blocks, and to increase the production rate, mechanical laying machines
have been developed. They are generally equipped with a clamping system that can lift an entire layer of garden paving blocks from a pallet or cube and place them accurately on the bedding sand. This results in
over a square yard of garden paving blocks being placed at one time.
